Bkue and gold macaw

Question
I have a b&g macaw and he keeps sticking his tounge out and hissing.  He just started this about a month ago. Do you know anything about this behavior?

Usually a hissing type noise is a very upset bird. However, I'm not sure why your macaw might be sticking his tounge out at the same time.

You might also want to check out: www.upatsix.com. they have some wonderful chat groups (one just for macaws!).... you might be able to find someone there who has seen similar behavior and knows what your bird is trying to tell you. :)
