Answer
Hello again,
I would not recommend buying any baby bird before it is fully weaned. Hand feeding young birds is very difficult and should only be done by those who are experienced at doing so. It is very easy to do it wrong and this could lead to the baby bird starving to death which would be very cruel. Anyone selling a bird before it has been weaned is not a responsible breeder and you should avoid these breeders because you will only be letting yourself in for a lot of heartache. It's better to buy a bird that is weaned so that it is stronger and is less prone to diseases. A good breeder will care about the welfare of their animals and will not want to sell their animals when they are too young. Those who do this are only intersted in money and do not care if the animals suffer. Good luck with your birds,
Jess
