Question
We've got a male hahn's macaw. He is only two months old. the problem is that he's stick to one of the family's shoulder every time except when he's forced to stay in the cage. Even if we distract him with any toys or food, it seems that he never tries to learn putting feet on the ground.
Extremely playful? Well, that's acceptable, but every single minute and days?
I hope you would advise me with any lessons to make him learn to wander around ALONE so we can freely let him do what ever he wants outside the cage. And for him to feel free also.
It's just sad we usually have to keep him that way just to stop him from crawling over people.

Answer
Macaws are very demanding and playful birds. It is not unreasonable for them to play and want to be on you whenever you are around. He is also hand-feeding still (if he is only two months old)- in the wild he would have his clutch mates to keep him company, but in captivity... he probably only gets a couple of hours out of the cage everyday.

Are his wings clipped? It is advised to allow weaning babies to learn how to fly, but once he has mastered this, consider trimming his wings so that he cannot fly to get onto people all the time (to help keep him grounded on his playpen or cage top). Also- there are play pens/portable perches that you can purchase that should stop him from climbing off of the designated area. Here are some online articles that should help you further with your baby:
