Question
i have a african grey that in the past 3 wks has laid 2 eggs , how do i deal with with and what do i do to help this to stop

Answer
-- You're not the only one!  I've got a macaw that just won't quit with her broody behavior right now; same as last year at this time.   Of course when your bird starts backing up to her toys, perch, cage bars, whatever it is she's using to help trigger egg production, do your best to make it stop without terrifying her of course.  A loud clap, shake of a can of coins, distractions like bursting into song or trying to get her involved in game playing "might" help, but you can't spend every minute with them, so sometimes eggs happen.

When they do, leave them with her until she rejects them on her own.   And expect to have your heart broken.  Watching the gentle, tender attention she'll give them is incredible.  This macaw here, during the last few days of sitting will even start talking to the eggs.  She'll gently tap at them and say "Hello?"  --  after she eventually leaves them, she'll have second thoughts and perhaps go back to them briefly, but this is where you step in.   Once she stops tending to the nest, when you have her distracted elsewhere, remove it, make it as if it were never there.
