Raw or Cooked Vegatables?

21 16:43:06

Question
Hey Sarah,

It's me again. Thanks for your reply with the egg answer and in moving the parakeets I will not do that at this time.

You had said something about feeding the birds vegatable is this cooked or raw like with beans and rice wouldn't that be cooked before you feed them that?

I know vebatable you can feed raw but I didn't know about the beans and rice and noodles as you had said before we could feed the parakeets.

Thank you so much Sarah you are the greatest for putting up with my questions. I give you more than a 10 for putting up with me!

Have a great day!

Barbie

P.S. If I do not take my friends birds next door I would like to get my own here in Hudson. I don't know where you are from but do you know of any breeders of birds here in Husdon N.C.? Cause I would like to get babies so I could tame them so they would get used to me.

Thanks

Answer
Hello Barbie,

The rice, yes, must be cooked. You can feed uncooked pasta that is no problem, but if you plan to do that I suggest feeding whole wheat pasta.

Veggies can be fed raw or cooked, either way. I find they like them cooked better, but its fun for them to chew on fresh crunchy vegetables as well. Variety is key!

With the frozen veggies, they definitely HAVE to be cooked before serving. hehe.

Sorry I didn't send the reply to your second set of questions earlier, I did write it up this morning but left the house in a rush and forgot to click send! lol. So you'll likely get it just before this one.

Thanks for all of the questions! It has been a pleasure.

Sarah

PS: I'm not sure of any breeders in your area as I am in Ontario, Canada. If you do a search on Google, I'm most certain you will find what you're looking for. Parakeets (as in budgies) are quite commonly found.
Good luck and keep me posted. :)
