Budgie and Cockatiel Living together.

My parents says that me and my brother might be able to get each a budgie or a cockatiel. The only problem is that I really want a cockatiel and my brother really wants a budgie. Could a budgie and a cockatiel live together peacefully? In the same cage and keep each other company?

Somepetstores may say yes to keeping them together or have them together in there shops but it isnt reccomended. Budgies are more agiile and active then cockatiels..... I had a budgie with a cockatiel a few years back when I was short of cage space... it lasted two days and they had to be seperated... not because of the cockatiel because of teh budgie... the budgie was always picking at the cockatiels feet, biting them and would not leave her feet alone. You can ahve both in the same household but not the same age, cages aren't that expensive if you have a look in yuor locale newspapers/online ads or even thrift or used colothing shops you might be able to find an extra cage.
