Question
I think my bird is with egg we have a nesting box but she wont go in she is to big what should i do to help?

Answer
hi. thanks for your question.  if your bird is "with egg" :) as you say, she will eventually end up laying it no matter what is provided for her as a laying site.
my question to you is, is the egg possibly fertilized?  that is, is she solitary or is there a male in the cage? if she is a solitary female, i would just leave her be. she will either lay the egg on the cage floor or some birds even lay in a food bowl! you could also provide her somewhere else to lay such as another bowl or a pre-made nest (you can find them in pet stores). bottom line is, she will lay the egg no matter what.
if there is a possibility that the egg is fertilized, you will definitely need to provide her with either some type of nesting material, pre made nest, or a larger nesting box. if she ended up laying the egg with nowhere to go, she may lay onto the cage floor and the egg could break thus killing or injuring the chick.
either way, just try and provide another type of "nest" for her...anything will work...sometimes no matter what you provide, they end up laying where they want to lay. good luck and let me know how it goes. alicia
