An update on Polly.

Hello. I'm sorry for going quiet on you. I was busy and away on a college trip to Blackpool but I am back now. My new budgie Polly is doing great. I call her pretty Polly and she has even learned to to talk. When I say Pretty Polly she says "Pretty Polly." If I turn the kettle on she says cup of tea? and I say yes polly a cup of tea. She even tries to answer the phone by landing on my shoulder and leaning towards the phone and saying hello. She tries to help with everything but it's not always in a good way. She tried to open the budgie food today and spilt it all so I had to clean it. She is a good girl though. I love her. Somebody at college said I'm a rotten pet owner and I shouldn't own pets. Am I a bad pet owner?

That 'somebody at college' needs more than book studies if they're going to make it in this world.  That was an ignorant and insensitive statement which should be dismissed immediately.  They have no idea of what you or Charlie were going through, they are neither doctors nor were they treating Charlie

You did what you had to do, in spite of it being a heart wrenching and difficult decision.  That makes you a very good owner.  

I feel very sorry for that person who would be so mean spirited.
