Taming

We have a male orange winged amazon apx (2yrs old) weve had him for 7months we think he was miss treated and coverd up all the time since we have had him we have him out of the cadge all day he just sit on top of it playing he will take the smallest thing out of my hand but turns aggressive if we try to touch him could you tell us the best way to tame him down or how we can handle him

hello,
if he was abused it maybe a lot harder, you will need to get him to trust you it may take awhile, try just you trying to get him to just trust you first, treats work great. Also you may try stick training alls you need to do is take a wood perch and get him to step up on it by putting it under his belly, it may not work rite away.
