african grey liver in trouble?

I have an african grey parrot.Lola is 10yrs old and has red feathers popping up on her back,A friend of mine  said that it means she has something wrong with her liver,caused from a fatty diet,I have looked everywhere on the web for some kind of answer to the red feathers. Please help if you can....THANK YOU Nicole..............

Hello Nicole.
You need to get your friend into an Avian Vet ASAP to get it checked out.  I did find a site that might be able to help you with a diagnosis, but the bird should really get some medical attention.  It is possible that Lola has a problem with her liver.
