Blood in my cage

I have 2 rats Kat and Sweety. both females. I looked in the cage and found that there was what looked to be a wound on sweety. When I examined the wound closer I found that there didnt seem to be a wound just blood. I checked both Kat and Sweety real good for scratches wounds, etc and didnt find a thing. I found that there was quite a bit of blood in there sleeping area. They do play fight sometimes but it has never got that serious before. They are both acting just like they usually do and seem to have good apettite and plenty of energy. I was wondering if you may have a guess at what is going on or where the blood came from. Hello Josh,

If there nails are very long and there is a scratch where they have been play fighting (sometimes cuts are hard to see)then this could be where the blood is coming from, if so I'd have there nails cut.

If not one of them could have a UTI, check there urine to see if there is any blood in it, if there is the take them to the vet's.
