Chinchilla personality change

My boyfriend bought a chinchilla for x-mas of this year. She is now around 10 months old. She was very well behaved before our move with her. She could come out and stay on my hand and she would allow me to take her out of the cage to show her around the house. After the move, she has become less trusting of me. She even peed on me. She hasn't done that since the first time we played with her. I know they need time to adjust but how long and have I ruined our relationship?

The new environment may have upset her. I would take her to an exotics' vet just to make sure she is not sick. After that, just start all over to win her trust. Sit by her cage and do nothing at first. Talk to her after about a week of that. You won her trust the first time and you can do it again. http://anntwo.proboards105.com/index.cgi
