water for hamster

My daughter's hamster chewed through 2 water bottles. We now have a weighted water bowl, but she still tips it over--plus it's hard to tell if she drinks any water from it before she tips it over.

What can we do to make sure she's getting enough water?--I'd rather use a water bottle--any ideas to prevent her from chewing through them?

I recommend buying a bottle guard. It is a metal incasement that goes over most standard water bottles, and protects them from being chewed or destroyed. You can find them commercially at most pet stores, and they are relatively inexpensive.
