sneezing and a runny nose

I just got my guinea pig(Sadie Rose, who is 8 weeks old) from Pet Co today. When i brought her home, i noticed that she started having a runny nose and was sneezing a bit. I had that shredded paper(looks like egg cartoons) in her cage. I thought she could have been allergic to it or had too much dust in it. so i switched to some aspen bedding but she still has the same problem. Also, is it normal for her to not eat when i first bring her home? Should I have her taken to the vet to get checked out just in case?

Also, what are good toys to put in her cage? Would she use
a wheel?

It sounds like Sadie Rose might be a little sick when you bought her. I would say its a very good idea to get her checked by a vet. Its not totally surprising that she doesnt eat the first day of bringing her home because she will be a little scared. She should eat soon though as this would be another sign of ill-health.

She won't use a wheel but she will love things she can hide in like tubes or anything she can chew such as wood chews.
