guinea pig pregnancy?

hi right i bought my guinea pig a few days ago and he was very light. However i discovered today that he was actually a she and had gotten very plump im not sure whether she is pregnant or not. I got two guinea pigs from pets at home and i thought i had bought two boys but i had bought two girls, although i asked for males. i am not sure on whether both of them were in the wrong pen and therefore one had got pregnant before i bought her how can i tell if it is pregnant or not? katie r.a.s.a.p

Hello Katie,

There is no way to know for certain without a vet trip and an X-Ray until the pups start moving (about 3-4 weeks before they are due). Weight gain, eating and drinking more, figiting like she's just can't get comfy, and alot more resting are some signs of pregnancy but they aren't a certainty because various illnesses can cause similar symptoms.
