Traveling with my guinea pig

Question
We are planning on a trip to Ohio in a few months and would like to take our beloved guinea pig, Oreo, with us.  The trip will take approximately two days to travel and we are planning to stay for about a week in a hotel.  We plan to take his cage with his toys and food.  Is there anything we need to know to make him comfortable on the trip?  We would hate to leave him for the holidays.  Best wishes, Randi

Sorry for just now getting back to you. There have been some serious storms where I live and that has caused problems with the internet all over town.

The only things to watch out for on your trip is making sure the cage is secure so that way it isn't sliding around. Place towels that have been rolled up on the inside walls of his cage so your preventing injury if there is a sudden shift or something that causes him to slide. Other then making sure of that and that he has continual access to food and water through out the trip he should be fine and enjoy the trip.
