Fleece Bedding and Ringworm

Question
QUESTION: Hi,

My three female guinea pigs have been experiencing ringworm for quite a few months now. Even though I've tried multiple products from my vet it hasn't cleared up. I've read about Program (a flea product for cats) that when given orally clears ringworm up fast with very few applications. I was wondering:

A. Is Program a good choice? And where could I get it?
B. I've heard about fleece bedding which is supposed to help pigs with upper respiratory problems. I wanted to know if after my pigs ringworm is gone if fleece might be a good choice? (My pig, Honey, has a few of those upper respiratory problems.)

And overall is Program and fleece bedding a good choice for what they need?

ANSWER: Are you treating all guinea pigs, the environment (cage) and yourself at the same time? Ringworm is very contagious unfortunately, so everything must be treated in order to stop reinfection. Tea tree oil is a good treatment as well as veterinary treatments.

I've never used program to treat ringworm as ringworm is a fungal infection. Fleece bedding (designed for baby animals) is quite good for ill guineas, make sure it is cleaned often though.

QUESTION: Yes, I am treating everything. Now about the fleece, I wanted to know what type would be best and at what stores  I could find it.

Answer
When i use to help out at the rescue shelter a few miles away from me, that's what they use to have for any sick animals, but i can't tell you where they got it from as i don't know! However, i'm positive that if you google it you'll be sure to find somewhere either close to you or online that sells it.

Sorry for not being more helpful!
