hamster sexuality

Question
I don't know wether our hamster is a male or female.  If it is a female how can you tell if it is pregnant?  The hamster that we have is a teddybear hamster and its rear-end looks funny.  It sticks out and looks rather funny and not normal.. Can you help me?

A male hamster has a blud
