about my first gerbil

sumin else i'd like to know. is it better for me to get 2 males or 2 females as i want a tame, friendly gerbil that always wants a cuddle and is not aggressive.

thank you for your question.
Gerbils can become very tame, but it's a question of character and not of their sex. If you buy them from a breeder, he or she should be able to tell you something about their character. Often, there are gerbils for adoption at animal shelters and the people there usually know which animals are tame.
As a rule, gerbils are not that cuddly, but they will come to you and climb around on you when you sit in front of their cage. Food always helps, of course ;)
