not using

Question
At first I had a small cage for my dwarf hamster and he loved using his wheel. Then I got him a much  bigger cage and he idnt using his wheel. Why is this.

Dear Conner, thank you for your question.
It's great that you got your hamster a bigger cage. He is probably not using the wheel because he has other things to do now and because he was bored in the smaller cage. Running in the wheel can become addicting to hamsters and they often do it because they have no other way to keep themselves entertained.
He might start using the wheel after some time, when he has gotten used to the new cage, but I do think that he will run in it a lot less.
