Escapted Hamster

Question
We purchased a hamster for my son a few months ago and 2 nigths ago he managed to get out of his cage and we have not been able to find him.  He has to be in our house somewhere because we do not leave doors/windows open.  Can you give me some tips on how we might find our escapted hamster and get him back in his cage. Thanks.

Hello,

Try leaving a little bit of hamster food in a corner, if the next day it is gone you know he's been there. You could also try leaving his cage open on the floor, he might climb in and fall asleep. If that doesn't work you might have to leave his cage on the floor, and stay up and see if you can catch him. Remember hamsters are nocturnal, so most likely he is going to come out at night.
