lost tooth

Question
hey sorry to make this so long but i would like you to understand the whole situation. i have two female Chinese dwarf hamsters and they live in the same cage. sometimes they fight, but only over stupid things like pumpkin seeds, their favorite food. i handle my hampers often so i picked them up this morning and checked their teeth, like i always do. i noticed that one of my hamsters, my more active one, was missing a bottom tooth. i was wondering if this is normal or if i should be concerned. i looked at them both and neither have any bite marks so they are ok. she isn't bleeding and seems to be healthy. the thing is, theese are my first hamsters, so i have not experienced this before. i have read lots of sites and none but this one seem to be what i am looking for. i was hoping you could tell me if this is normal and if i should stop feeding her so much hard foods and give her softer foods.
thanks

Answer
I haven't heard of hamsters losing their teeth, but it should be nothing to worry about because they mainly use their upper front teeth. I would be careful with their fighting, though, because female hamsters are very territorial, especially with each other.
