QuestionI have bought a ferret recently he is about 12-13 weeks old. We also have cats he go in their litter box and the one in his cage. But he sometimes sleeps in the litter box in his cage. And he does'nt move his poop. What can i do to stop this...
Answerthanks for your question TOM,
Very often baby ferrets will do that, and they eventually out grow that behavior. They at that age will play/ sleep in the litter pan. Make sure you provide a hammock or bed for him to sleep in while he is in the cage, and if you see him sleeping in the litter pan, gently pick him up and place him in his hammock/bed. This will help teach him that the litter pan is not also his bed!
If you need help with litter training, let me know. Ferrets have to be taught to use the litter pan
thanks again,
