size of feamale ferrets

Hi!! my boyfriend and I have 2 ferrets and one is white and bigger than the other by weight and size ...he is white and the other is small with black and brown markings and black around its eyes. What Iam asking is are female ferrets smaller than male ferrets?  Erin

Usually females are in fact smaller than males. Ferrets are sexually dimorphic.  If you are asking to be able to identify gender, it is easier to find the right parts in case you have an unusually large male and are comparing it to a normal male!  Neutered males do not have any immediately noticeable male genitalia, but you can find their penis (or the small opening it is stored) on their stomach slightly more than half way down.
