Answer
Hi Ashley,

I am very surprised that you haven't seen this behavior before! This is the ferret's way of playing and having fun! Ferrets play rough and sometimes that is scary for us ferret parents to watch, but it is the truth!

It could also be that they are establishing the pecking order within their group, in which case you should just let them work it out. Don't intervene unless you are seeing bleeding, excessive screaming, or someone literally having the poop scared out of them! If you aren't seeing those signs, then just let them work it out on their own and they should be fine in no time!

If you have further questions, concerns, or you need clarification, please feel free to let me know!

Sincerely,
Emilee Andrews
