feeding my ferrets

I bought my ferrets at Petco, they are from the Marshall Farm and the girl at the pet store siad they can only eat marshall brand foods. I myself think its too expensive. I bought a diffrent brand of ferret food, but they didn't eat it when i first got them. Whats the best food i can give them that will help with their smell

THere is nothing I know of to help with ferret smells not even bathing/dry bath prodcuts can tame there smell it the way they are...you will grow used to it trust me. I reccomend a High quaility kitten food over ferret foods, it will be less expensive and from waht everyone says its better for them then cheaper brands of ferret foods like kaytee or hartz which have nuts and things they do not need to eat in the mixes and shouldnt be fed. you can supplment the hard kitten food with boiled eggs or cooked chicken or liver sometiems also if you have any spare.
