Question
Hi! I was wondering if you could find a vet for me. I live in Klamath Falls, Oregon. =) Thank you so much.

Also, on average, how much are ferret vet bills? I know they vary, but an average would be great! =) THANKS!

Answer
Hi Jessica,

Here are some links for you:

The top one has vets that are localized to your zip code, and the bottom one is ferret vets in Oregon as a state. I hope you find one in your area, and here are the links for the different websites to help you find a vet, if the links I've provided don't meet your needs.

Vet bills do vary widely. Here in Michigan, I called one vet that said his fee for a wellness check up was 75 dollars while another's fee was only 45. You might see it between that range for a wellness check up. The vaccinations needed for ferrets vary as well. For instance, at the vet with the more expensive check up fee, the vaccinations were a bit less and vice versa for the vet with the lower check up fee. That is probably the range you'll run into: anywhere from about fifty to about 80-85 dollars, I think. Again, it does vary. For vaccinations, you might see anywhere from 20-50 dollars a piece for rabies and distemper. Again, that does vary and my estimates might be on the low or high side depending on your location and the vets in your area.

I hope this helps and if there is anything more I can do for you, please don't hesitate to ask!

Sincerely,
Emilee Andrews
