how old should i start handling my baby ferrets they are three weeks old

It is advised to wait until the kits are at least 4 weeks old before beginning to socialize and handle them or the mother ferret may reject and refuse to feed the babies. Wait until they have nursed with their momma and make sure she doesn't mind. If she minds then wait a few days and try again. Don't handle them too much all at once just a few minutes each time.
