Hi, I want a Gladiator Dog that no human no dog no wolf can even touch me... what you thinks that dog would be (Am Bulldog - Rottweiler - Dogo - Pitbull - Staffie - Tosa - or anything else ?) .. please tell me... and any comments or questions are welcomed.

Answer -
We do not recommend getting a dog to use as a "weapon." Properly training an attack-dog is difficult and very time- (and/or money-) consuming process. An improperly trained attack-dog can be dangerous to its owner. Dogs made 'mean' through brutal and therefore improper training methods are unreliable and not safe around other living things. Statistics from the Centers for Disease Control and the Humane Society of the US show that the most likely victim of a dog's aggression will be its owner, a family member, or a neighbor; in six out of ten cases, it will be a young child. You should seriously re-examine your motivation for becoming a dog owner.

Answer
Mohd,
We teach obedience classes for all breeds as well as help owners who have dogs with behavior problems (such as aggression, excessive barking, separation anxiety, or other phobias). We really don't know what breed is considered the strongest physically. Believe it or not, weight pulling is a sport that all breeds can participate in. Dogs are judged based on the amount of weight they can pull in relation to their body weight. For example, there is a Welsh Corgi who weighs 20 to 23 lb.s that can pull up to 10 times her body weight. For a 120 lb Rottweiler to beat her, he would have to pull 1,200 lb! A Corgi isn't usually considered to be a "tough" dog, but in many cases they're actually stronger due to their low center of gravity (they've got really short legs). All of the breeds you mention are known for being strong and muscular. Unfortunately, they are also frequently found in shelters because irresponsible owners often breed/train these dogs to fight. Several of these breeds have been banned or restricted in many areas for the same reason. If you are seriously considering one of these breeds, I strongly suggest that you research what it takes to own one (they are not recommended for inexperienced dog owners) and that you adopt an adult (check www.petfinder.com). Responsible dog ownership requires a lifelong commitment (often 15-20 years) of care. Care includes providing proper nutrition, good hygiene, physical exercise, mental stimulation, regular health checks, vaccinations, and medical care when needed.
