Correct Training Crate Size

Question
In approximately two weeks I will be receiving an eight week old female puggle.  According to the breeder, the parents (beagle mom, pug dad) are just shy of 20 lbs. each.  The crates I have looked at all have a partition that can be moved as the puppy grows.  My question is what size crate should I purchase that would be the correct size for her when she is an adult dog so the crate can grow with her?

Answer
Hi Joe,
I would recommend a minimum of a 36" open wire crate.  A 42" would be ok to and would give her more room to play.   My personal preference is the 42".

Take a look at the following website.  It may come in helpful to you as you are going to have lots of training issues soon!!  :-)    www.paw-rescue.org (see Robin's Pet Tips on the home page)
