Question
Hi, ive got a 14 week old boxer puppy, ive had him for 2 weeks recently he's started biting and chewing my hands and feet and he grabs hold of trouser legs and even my hair. Is this just him being playful? or have i done something wrong? what can i do to stop this i don't want him to become an aggressive dog.

Answer
This is a perfectly normal part of doggie development. Young puppies use their mouths to explore and play. You need to be firm and let him know that this isn't an appropriate way to play with you (and other people) by telling him no firmly and ignoring him when he does that. If that doesn't work you can give a firmer correction by grabbing his mouth and holding it when he puts it on you. He won't like that at all. The best teacher for puppies is other dogs so try to get him out to play with other dogs as often as possible. An older dog will give him a firm correction when he gets too rough and other puppies will refuse to play with him if he's too rough and he will learn from both.
