Invisible fence training

Question
I have a 6 month old German short hair and she is continually breaking through my invisible fence, I have increased it to the highest level, also put on the shock collar along with the fencing collar and have seen her get shocked but she still continues to cross over and run out into the road. Once there she does not come when called and I have to chase her to get a hold of her.  Any tips and or suggestions to this ongoing problem would be greatly appreciated.

Answer
Electronic "invisible" fences don't prevent any dog from crossing. There is a training routine to teach the dog to stay back and move away on the alert tone. It also sounds like the dog has not had any obedience training since you are chasing the dog and the dog is not chasing you. Any fairly much since the dog has run through the fence several times, it knows it is not any significant barrier so its fairly worthless now. All it does is teach the dog to indure pain to get away from you.

All dogs need training, otherwise the dog does what it wants including running through the invisible fence, jumping over a physical fence, or anything else.
