dog trainging issues aplenty!

Question
Hi, First and foremost is that we have a 14 year old Norwegian Elkhound who has a urinary problem and occasionally drips.  The problem is that we also have a 1 year old pup who pees in the house because the other dog does.  well, at least that was the theory.  Now however, she is peeing in the house even where the other dog has not marked, she pees when she walks in the door sometimes, she does ask to go out sometimes, and does well.  It has ruined my rug, I am so very tired of it!  We have another dog in between who does not do this.  Both the younger dogs run away, any chance they get, but come home, still drives me nuts!  The yougest Bella is trainable she fetches, sits, is learning to stay with me off the leash in a secure area.  However, if the door opens she and the other one darts.  I can see them laughing at me, no really.:)

Answer
Hi, Deb!

This is really outside my area of expertise, since you have the older dog with a urinary problem.  I would ordinarily start by recommending measures to be sure your problem dog doesn't smell any previous accidents, but this is not possible with the older dog.  I would recommend speaking to your veterinarian or seeking help from another allexperts volunteer with more experience in that area.

Good luck!
