dog suddenly peeing everywhere?

I have a 5 year old Chihuahua and he is neutered and potty trained. All of the sudden for the past two weeks he has been peeing on different spot around the house. Do you know what it would be from? Thanks

The first thing I would do is take him to the vet to rule out a medical reason; does he have some type of urinary tract infection?

Secondly, has he been reliably housetrained for the entire 5 years?  Is there a possibility that he may have had an unknown "accident" in those spots?  If it wasn't thoroughly cleaned up, he would still smell those areas.

If the answer is no to all of the above, then you may have to go back to basic housetraining methods as if he were a puppy.
