Unexplained Peeing

Question
Our puggle, Fiona is 6 months old and a dream of a pup.  Hardly ever barks, learns really quickly, never soils her crate.  We have read books on raising a pup, and have bought everything we need and have been going to training classes.  She has been diligently crate trained.  However, lately, out of nowhere, she has started to pee in the house for no reason.  Different times, different places, but always on a carpet or a couch.  In the early days we left out a puppy pad for accidents and she used it twice (other than that she has always made it outside), but now, she seems to pee inside with no remorse off and on.  We cannot find a pattern.  HELP!

Answer
Hi, Lori!

Often when a pup relapses it is due to a change in his/her life.  Are you in a new home?  New furniture?  Any new pets or people around?  At any rate, you may have to just go back to square one in potty training until Fiona is back on track.  Keep her in confined areas, closely supervised and don't allow her freedom of the whole house until she is well potty trained again.  Also, be sure to check out this blog post:  http://blog.gizmo2wizmo.com/2009/05/12/5-essential-steps-to-cleaning-dog-pee.asp...
