bump on nose

Question
i have a 3 month old pitbull that i have rescued from a shelter and just noticed she has like a round lump beneath her right nostril its about the diameter of a dime and feels hard it seems to only bother her when i apply pressure to it. the only things that have changed is i have switched foods on her from nutro to purina puppy chow i am hoping its nothing to serious

I doubt the food has anything to do with it.  I would watch it closely, and if it changes color or shape, have it checked out.  Also, if she begins to loose hair around that area and/or the eyes, have her checked for mange. The vet will take a small skin scraping and see if it has any mange mites.  Since she came from the shelter, that is a good possibility, but then again, it may not be anything.  Just keep a close eye on it.  I bet she is a cutie!
