furry pit

my dog is furry but the mother and father are both pits and the vet said my dog is mixed wit a terrier but it has long hair  and its the same color as its mother

Hi Christina,

Have you actually met your dog's mother and father? If you have seen both of your dog's parents (and know without a shadow of a doubt) that they are indeed your dog's parents, then one of your dog's grandparents wasn't all Pit Bull, and your dog's longer hair is a "throw-back" to that gene pool.

If you've only met one of your dog's parents, the chances are high that the other parent was a mixed-breed dog.
It's got to be one of those reasons, a dog's coat type doesn't lie!
