Question
My 1 yr old husky has eaten part of a bath towel.  She has vomited and some of the towel has come out.  Since it was after hours, my vet could not see her and recommended giving her hydrogen peroxide to induce vomiting.  I have not read to much on this remedy.  What do you think.  She is drinking water, and has gone to the bathroom.  She does not want to eat dog food, but will eat cheese.  Please let me know.

Answer
Hey Robyn. You need to bring her to a vet asap, even if it's an emergency vet. Hydrogen peroxide does work really well to induce vomiting, but I don't recommend this for something such as eating a towel. This towel can get lodged in her intestines & cause an obstruction. This is VERY bad. I would much rather a vet ensure the towel piece is removed from her system. I have just seen situations like this turn out where the animal has to go to surgery when all the foreign body isn't out of their system. I would really recommend taking her to a vet as soon as you can. Let me know if I can do anything else to help.
