Question
I have 4 golden retriever/yellow lab mix pups, they are 4 weeks old and the mom doesn't seem to be feeding them much anymore.  I am thinking their teeth are getting too sharp.  How much do I feed each pup and how often each day.  Is it better to start them on soft food or a dry food that has been mixed with warm water.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks

Answer
Hello I reccomend feeding dry kibble Soked with hot water...you can leave this mixture in a large container or icecream pale with the cover on for 30 minutes and then offer it as it will have soked up the water, Offer this to the puppies three times per day.... the mother is likely to still be feeding them once a day at lest for the next week or two so, offer it in large flat dishes morning, afternoon and early evening(4 to 5 o'clock). Be sure to feed a good quaility soked puppy kibble....not an adult kibble, also hard puppy kibble can be offered with the soked by next week to get them used to eatting hard as well.
