hi, i have a 7 yr old yorkie poo. tonight i noticed that my dog, max, urinated in the floor and it had blood in it. i am wondering if male yorkie poo's have a history of uti. i have had lots of dogs over the years and i have never had a dog that had a uti. i am concerned that this may be something more serious. i am planning on taking him to the vet tomorrow but i would like to know what you think.

A urinary tract infection can happen to any breed of dog.

In male dogs, blood in the urine may mean that the prostate gland has become infected. You should have your dog examined by your vet to find out if this is a prostate problem, urinary tract infection, or infection of the kidneys.
