Plz help me

Dear Labman,

My 3 month old beagle puppy acts strangely recently. I would like to know whether she is sick or just a behavior of a puppy.

She sleeps all the time when she is in the cage. She will only wakes up when she heard me calling. She sometimes acts very agressively and she will bite my hands often. She will make a "grrrr..."sound when she is running towards us. I'm afraid that it is a sign of mad dog  disease. I'm quite worried about her behavior.

Sounds to me like a poorly socialized puppy.

 The key to most behavior problems is approaching things using the dog's natural instincts.  Dogs see all the people and dogs in the household as a pack with each having their own rank in the pack and a top dog.  Life is much easier if the 2 legged pack members outrank the 4 legged ones.  You can learn to play the role of top dog by reading some books or going to a good obedience class. A good obedience class or book is about you being top dog, not about rewarding standard commands with a treat. She is too young to start a obedience class before the first of the year, but you should start obedience now.
