Question
My dog's urine appears dark to me....should her urine be clear like a persons?
Thank you in advance for your assistance!

Answer
Tina-

Your dogs urine will be darker if they are not drinking a lot of water. Normal urine is amber-yellow in color and clear to slightly cloudy. If your dog isn't drinking a lot of water or not processing his urine correctly, it may be very dark and concentrated, and possibly have a heavy odor. Alternatively, very dilute urine will be clear.

If your dogs urine appears thick, very dark, very smelly, or reddish-brown, it may be a good idea to swing by the vets for a urinalysis.

Thanks for the question!
