injured leg.

Hello.I have a yorkshire terrier(toy breed). His name is Ace.He just fell down from the sofa 2 days ago.He was not able to put weight on his leg.I took him to the vet directly.They could not  tell if hes got a tissue injury or broken leg due to having very small bones. The vet told me waiting for couple of days. The next morning,  He started putting weight on his injured leg .Its been two days now and he does not put weight on his leg FULLY. Do you think  he is getting better? or should i take him to the vet for the x ray ?  What do you reckon ?

Hi Aaron,

The only way definitive way for know if a bone is broken is by doing an x-ray. Since it's been a few days, contact your vet, and let him or her decide if it's time to do the x-ray at this point.

If it were my dog, I'd have the x-ray done for my own peace of mind. If it's broken, you don't want it to heal in the wrong position. It could leave your dog crippled for life.
