My dog eat poop and is on Bil-jack

Question
My dog just started eating her poop ( since she's been on Med's). She is 9 weeks old and she has a running nose and infection and she is on medication at this time. could it be the antibiotics? You did said high quality  food because they may be lacking something. Is Bil-Jac the top quality food?

Answer
Don't know who you were expecting to answer, but they were wrong about a high quality food helping.  Nothing much helps.  As for Bil-Jac, those pushing ''high quality food'' based on ingredients likely would bash it too.  Of course, they have nothing to base their recommendations except anecdotes, junk science, speculation, and marketing hype.

he best solution to stool eating, coprophagy, is cleaning them up before the dog has a chance. You can try food additives, the home remedies pineapple juice or canned pumpkin or the commercial products Forbid or Deter.

Why dogs do it is poorly understood. It may be diet related, but changing the dog's diet might cause worse problems. Whatever problems it causes for the owner, it doesn't seem to hurt the dog unless you are trying to clear up a worm infestation.

It is possible once off the antibiotics a few weeks, she will stop.
