The trainer lifted a dog of the ground with a choke chain, would this not damage the dogs neck and spine

Hi Ellen,

Thank you for writing to me.  This trainer is a menace to the welfare and safety of any dog he touches.  Run, don't walk as fast as you can and as far as you can for the safety and protection of your dog.

Go to a website, www.dogwise.com and start becoming acquainted with positive dog training, where your dog is treated with intelligence and kindness instead of brutalized.  Positive training makes your dog want to learn instead of terrorizing him into fearfully trying to survive torture.   Surely you wouldn't want your child treated the way this dog is being treated.  He doesn't have a voice of his own.  He only has you to protect him from harm.  Please get as far away from this so called trainer and warn everyone else you know to do the same. And yes, it can damage the dog's neck and spine and even kill him.

Now you will have to try to undo the trauma that your dog has been put through.  Be sure to find a trainer that uses only positive reinforcement.
