After a dog eats how long before he has to have a bowel movement?

Answer
That varies.  A young puppy, maybe before you can get it out the door.  Much of it has to do with how much activity.  Crate it right after a meal, it may be OK for 4-5 hours.  Take it for a walk after eating and you may not make it a block.  Usually figure an hour or 2.
