Question
Our 5 month old female Standard Poodle is 19 inches and 32 lbs as of today , how much bigger will she get?

Answer
Hello Shari,
Your dogs size will best be determined by her parents and what is in her background, also enviromental factors can help in determining the size and weight of your dog.  I can give an estimate on how much bigger she will be, but it is only an estimate.  She could get bigger or stay smaller than what I tell you.

Most Poodles get their full height by 9-11 months and will continue to fill out until a year and a half or so.  If your dog is 19 inches at the shoulder now, I will estimate that she will be around 22-24 inches at the shoulder at full height.  Her weight will probably get to around 50 lbs give or take.
Do watch out that she doesn't grow too fast or that you don't let her jump around too much on her hips right now.  As the growth plates are being fused together as the dog grows, too much rough activity on them can cause them to fuse wrong and that can cause problems in the future.  Watch her on stairs, getting in and out of a car, and jumping off beds and furniture.  I know how much Poodles like to run and jump especially at this young age and with all that puppy energy, so just keep an eye on her that she isn't jumping hard enough to damage those hips.

I hope this helps you some.  If you have other questions/comments/concerns about this or other Poodle questions in general, please feel free to ask me.
