maltese breathing problem

Hi...i just bought a maltese today. hes 8 weeks old. when hes up and running around he's fine and seems haapy, but wen he falls asleep he breaths really hard and really fast and his heart beat beats really fast. is this normal? or something wrong with him? im really scared? HELP!!!

hey my maltese does the same when hes asleep and he lays on his back lol soo cute, but... without hearing it for myself i sugest you keep an eye on it dont take him to the vets as its an intimidating place for a new pup but give them a call and describe the breathing in detail and they should give you an indication of whether its a problem.
better to be safe than sorry please let me know how you get on
