Answer
What is good for dogs and people is a complete and balanced diet and not too much of it.  Even if somebody made a people food as good for them as dog chow is for dogs, it would never sell.  People demand a variety and often insist on eating too much carbohydrates and fats rather then veggies and eggs that has things they need too.  So the things we don't eat enough of are ''good'' for us.  If your dog was eating a diet short in fat, protein, and whatever else is in eggs, then eggs would be ''good'' for it.  If your dog is eating a complete and balanced dog chow, then eggs or anything else that isn't a complete and balance diet really does not improve its diet.

If you Lab isn't interested in its regular chow, likely it is over weight.  Best way to tell is to follow the method illustrated in this link, http://www.puppychow.com/products/popup_body_condition.aspx  Being over weight leads to earlier joint problems and a shorter life.  To get it eating its regular chow, follow this:

Put down the dish with what the dog should eat, and give it 15 minutes to eat. Then take it up. Do not give it anything to eat until its next scheduled meal. In a few days, it should be eating what it needs. Continue to check its ribs and adjust the food as needed. This is not easy. I had a Shepherd go 3 days on a few nibbles. I was a wreck, but she was fine. It is almost unknown for a healthy dog not to eat what it needs. Unfortunately, in too many cases, it is less than the package says, and less than the owner thinks the dog should have. Many dogs are quite good at holding out for tastier chow. Like kids, sometimes it calls for tough love.

Take away its rawhide away too.  Yes, I am a grinch, right at Christmas time.  The pet stores are full of toys that many dogs will quickly chew up into
pieces they could choke on or cause intestinal blockages.  If you are not
there to watch, stick to sturdy stuff such as Nylabones and Kongs.  Keep a
close eye on chew toys and quickly discard anything that is coming apart in
pieces.  Rawhide is especially bad because it swells after being swallowed.
These problems are the worst with, but not limited to, large, aggressive
chewers such as Labs.

Ropes from the pets' store quickly turn to hazardous shreds.   Ones I made
lasted much better.   Go to a hardware or home center that sells rope by the
foot.  Buy 2' of 3/4" poly rope.   Melt the ends, and tie  knots in it.   Get
them as tight as possible, put it in a vise and pound it with a hammer.  Watch
carefully, and be ready to discard when it comes apart.
