Answer
Hello, Well I have two females dogs without any problems a lab and boston terrier and I have a male dog as well...a jack russell terrier all spayed adn neutered adn get along great all were brought home to each other as puppies. It takes some time for the established dog to understand the puppy is here to stay and isnt going anywhere it takes a few weeks for teh older dog to know that you still lvoe them and you will still spend time with the older dog jelusy is a big thing among multiple dog households and my jack russell terrier was quite upset for at lest 6 weeks after I broguht home my boston terrier.if the puppy is biting/yapping at the older dog and gets snapped at its the older dogs way of saying leave me the heck alone I dont want to play and this is perfectly fine with time they will learn whats accepted among each other and will play later on...when I brough my jack russell terrier home to my labrador reteriver he was always doing what I just mentioend biting hger face/ears yipping and prancing around she never did snap being such a calm dog but really hated him for a few months until he was old enough in her eyes to show whos boss lol. Buty if yuor older dog is snapping when your petting the puppy say No firmly and say its ok and be sure to pet her too. if they are snapping over toys be sure they have the exact same toys but each have there own set to avoid fights, if she is snapping because hte pupy is getting too close to her food or is chewing something feed them seperately and only allow chews while they are crated or in other rooms. Best of luck with your new pup I hope this information helps you out
